Apprenticeships & Internships

Skills India estimates that out of 1.5 million engineering graduates who are coming out of    academic stream, only 7% of them that is 1 out of 13, has the required skills by the Indian industry. MAFTREE is a recognised player within composites industry and our research collaboration is on continuous growth in the last 3 years. In 2017, MAFTREE became an accredited employer to take 2 aeronautical engineering graduates under National Apprenticeship Training Scheme with Board of Apprenticeship Training Southern Region (BOAT) Government of India. We have imparted skills and training to 500+ beneficiaries since 2015, especially in the area of composites design, analysis, manufacturing and FEA of aerospace & automotive structures. Our technical excellence framework cover broad range of training topics as well as bespoke skills development related to composites. We play our part through bespoke skills development and training. All our trainings are held at our Chennai training centre. Hostel facilities are available for outstation trainees. Some of our courses can also be conducted at universities and industries. Our key training modules are:
  • Certified Research & Innovation Professional (CRIP)
  • Certified Research & Innovation Leader (CRIL)
  • Certified Professional in Composites Manufacturing & Inspection (CPCMI)
  • Certified Professional in Engineering Design & Analysis (CPDEA)
Researchers’ and Innovators’ Capability Enrichment (RICE) is a 12 month distance learning programme with two weeks of face to face contact sessions. The two face to face sessions include presentations by experts, role play, interactive workshops and much more to complement the theoretical knowledge gained throughout the programme. At the end of core curriculum, candidates are assessed through computer based multiple choice questions test(s) and paper based case studies. Upon successful completion of 12 months course, candidates will receive a Certificate of Participation and Course Completion and awarded with a recognised title of Certified Research & Innovations Professional (CRIP). After 3 years of obtaining CRIP, participants can re-apply for Certified Research & Innovations Leader (CRIL). At this juncture, candidates performance will be assessed by experts committee through desktop survey, references and scrutiny from the list of inventions, patents and journal publications. Core subjects: a. Creativity and invention
